20. yılını kutlayan EFINST İngilizce Dil Okulları harika bir kampanya başlattı. When I was in Cologne/Germany last week,  I’ve been informed via e-mail from Hanzade Dogan Boyner who mentioned about the agreement represents Milliyet & Vatan newspapers and their websites (which is important for me) has been sold to another group.

This week there has been many information revealed on the subject and here they are.

Milliyet and Vatan daily newspapers to DK Gazetecilik & Yayincilik (journalism & publication) Corporation, a Demiroren-Karacan joint venture.

Dogan Gazetecilik sold Milliyet to DK Gazetecilik in return for 47.9 million USD, and Vatan newspaper in return for 26 million USD.

The two corporations reached an agreement in principle, and they are expected to make a statement in detail after the share transfer agreement is signed.

According to 2009 statistics, Dogan Gazetecilik’s newspapers constitute 25 percent of daily newspapers sold in Turkey (4,718,583).

Milliyet’s  daily circulation was around 203,000 and Vatan’s 194,000 in 2009.

Milliyet.com.tr has a 489 Alexa rank and Gazetevatan.com has a 2015 Alexa rank and both websites are in top 100 Turkey list.

Let’s see what will happen in the near future for the staff who I’ve been feeling the anxiety on them.

Şimdi sizlerle çok komik, trajikomik ve ilginç bir hikaye anlatacağım.

Emre Çınar, benim Doğan Gazetecilik Dijital Medya ekibinden beraber çalıştığım bir arkadaşım. Komedi Dükkanı programını ise zaten çoğumuz biliyoruz. Tolga Çevik ve Fırat Doğu Parlak tarafından hazırlanan bir televizyon şovu.

Emre 2008 yılında Amerika’da üniversite okurken katıldığı bir partide İzmir’li Fırat isimli bir arkadaşına hatıra fotoğrafı çektiriyor.

Bu fotoğraf daha sonra internette bir forumda, Komedi Dükkanı’nın gizli yönetmeninin fotoğrafı olarak paylaşılıyor.

Emre bunu “hepimizin yaptığı gibi” Google’da ara sıra kendi ismini ararken (image search) görüyor, önce gülüyoruz, sonra kendimizce esprili hayali senaryolar üretiyoruz.

Ta ki geçtiğimiz haftaya kadar.

Türkiye Gazetesi, hem internet sitesinden hem de basılı gazeteden, Google kullanarak bulduğu bu fotoğrafı Fırat Doğu Parlak’ın gerçek fotoğrafı sanarak yayınlıyor.

Biz yine gülüyoruz, ama Emre artık ne yapabiliriz diye araştırmaya başlıyor. Fakat bunun önünü alamıyoruz. Her ne kadar internet dünyasında iş yapıyor olsak da bizim etkimiz (aslında hiç kimsenin) yanlış ve saçma bir içeriğin yayılmasını önleyecek kadar güçlü değil elbette…

Misal Milliyet Cadde’de konuyu tamamen farklı ve yanlış yazan Ali Eyüboğlu’na ulaşıp olayı anlatabiliyoruz ve o da yine köşesinde bunu eminim paylaşacaktır ama bu bizim ilişkilerimiz ve yazılı basına işleyen bir süreç, internette iş bambaşka…

Onlarca internet sitesi ve Türkiye’nin en çok okunan gazetelerinden Hürriyet basılı versiyonunda Cumartesi günü Emre’nin Los Angeles’da çektirdiği fotoğrafı basıyor.

Bugün hala birçok internet sitesi, ve hatta bilemediğimiz yayına hazırlanan dergiler belki de o fotoğraf ile Fırat Doğu Parlak haberi yayınlayacaklar.

Bunu hemen Türk basınını acımazısca eleştirmek için kullanmak bence yanlış olur, sadece Google’ın bir kaynak olarak kullanılamayacağının göstergesi olarak bir örnek sayabiliriz. Bu tarz örnekler yurtdışı medyada da olabiliyor.

Fakat yine de bu olay esprili algılanabilir, ama çok daha ciddi bir konuda da olabilirdi.

Terör, farklı suçlar vs…O durumda Emre’nin düşeceği zor durumu tahmin etmek çok zor değil.

İşte Emre’yi yönetmen sanan yayın organlarından bazı ekran görüntüleri… Elimde Fırat Doğu Parlak’ın fotoğrafı yok. O yüzden bu yazı “işte gerçek yönetmen” tadında değil.

Ama kimin gerçekten yönetmen olmadığını açıkça söyleyebilirim, o da bizim Emre

Actually it is my father’s.

He is a truly whisky expert and lover, owns many special bottles and now he wants to sell his precious piece of his collection, 30 years old Black Bowmore whiskey.

As well known in gourmet lifestyle, Black Bowmore is an Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky.

The second of the three extraordinary Oloroso cask 1964 Bowmores released in the mid-1990s. Like the first batch, this release was of 2000 bottles, and originally retailed on the high street for around £80(!). A much higher proportion of casks filled in the 1960s were sherry, and Black Bowmore is proof of the quality of some of those casks.

With an almost unfathomable concentration and intensity of flavour, and perfect balance of fruit, peat and power, this whisky deserves the frequently overused ‘legendary’ tag and has assumed almost mythic status amongst whisky collectors and aficionados.

My father had two of this bottle of jouissance from Scotland. He drank one of it, I’ve tasted, what a magic!

In conclusion, he decided to sell it. The price will be no less than 7.000 $ . I will not sell it online. The deal can be both in New York/ U.S (February is perfect) or in Istanbul/ Turkey .

I know the price may seem too high for those who are not in whisky pleasure bussiness But the real gourmets will see it fine.

It’s in perfect condition in its old wooden box.

I am not going to write a poem about my marriage. I just want to see things in logic, even in love.

As a term, marriage is a social union or legal contract between people that creates kinship. It is an institution in which interpersonal relationships, usually intimate and sexual, are acknowledged in a variety of ways, depending on the culture or subculture in which it is found.  Such a union, often formalized via a wedding ceremony, may also be called matrimony.

Through all the time I’ve mentioned about my marriage to collegues, friends, some relatives and etc. , all I got was mainly negative responses, though I blame none. As seen on the statistics in the last decade  it’s an institution that has a very low success percentage. For many out there, the success of marriage lies in its long term survival. I believe not.

Marriage is to be done to multiply your happiness, even for a long or a short term.

Do I love her?

Absolutely!

Am I happy now?

Perfect and happiness multiplied.

Will I be happy over years?

I really don’t f care from now.
