Wikileaks has been known as a website creating problems for all of the world’s foreign ministries by recently releasing a lot of “Cables” where most of the world leaders where targeted and those leaders still have their reputation on stake.

Tables are turning around for the Wikileaks after these releases. It was under criticism by the US government and its operations were closed on Amazon’s servers. Also its DNS Service Provider disowned the website.

In the recent events, the problems are still mounting for Wikileaks and now it is facing problems for the collection of funds for keeping its operations running. Its donations channel through Moneybookers was closed in October after the governments of Australia and USA put Wikileaks under the watch list. It was done so, due to the act of Wikileaks where it released 250,000+ sensitive U.S. “Cables” or diplomatic wires. Earlier this year, its account with the PayPal was suspended but this was a temporary suspension.

Now, after recent releases, the PayPal has suspended the account setup for donations to Wikileaks permanently stating that the acts of wikileaks are in direct violation of the PayPal policy. According to PayPal the account holder has been notified of the act. PayPal policy clearly states “our payment service cannot be used for any activities that encourage, promote, facilitate or instruct others to engage in illegal activity.”

Wikileaks has been under cyber-attacks after the current release of the cables both from the hackers and the US government. The situation for the website is becoming more and more difficult after the donations channels have been closed.
